Weekly Book Memes Master List

What's up cool kids! As a novice book blogger, I have come across sooooo many weekly book memes. I can hardly keep up BUT I want to keep up! lol So I started listing them in a journal as a reference for whenever I needed some post inspiration OR simply to join in on the fun. Then figured, why not post them here? :)

I don't know all of them, but I plan on adding to this as I come across ones that pique my interest. Feel free to contribute to my list if you know of some good ones :)

Showcase Sunday: Showcase your newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week.

Sundays in Bed with... The meme that dares to ask, what book has been in your bed this morning?  Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today

The Sunday Postrecap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

It's Monday! What are you reading: Share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.

First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros: Share the first paragraph (or a few) of a book you’re reading or thinking about reading soon.

Teaser Tuesdays: Grab your current read, open to a random page and share 2 sentences from somewhere on that page (no spoilers please).

Library Loot: Share the books that you got from the library each week.

Thursday Quotables: This weekly feature is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week.  Share your favorite lines of the week.

TBR Thursday:  Highlight a title from your shelf (or eReader) and ask your readers what they think about it … Have you read it? Should I read it or put it back on the shelf?

Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts: Share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not.

Book Beginnings: Share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.

Book Blogger Hop: A weekly writing prompt for you to answer on your own blog. Prompts are posted well in advance.

Friday Finds:  Showcase the books you ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list… whether you found them online, or in a bookstore, or in the library — wherever! (they aren’t necessarily books you purchased).

Stacking the Shelves: All about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Soundtrack Sunday:  Create a mini or full soundtrack for that book based on characters and plot details. Post and link up!

  2. I started a new one this year called "Can't-Wait Wednesday" which is based off of "Waiting on Wednesday" that Breaking the Spine used to run (she's been inactive since August 2016). The info post is here l, and my most recent post is here.
